Resin-impregnated graphite is produced by vacuum-impregnating baked carbon graphite with phenolic or epoxy resin, filling the micropores to raise density to 1.75-1.80 g/cm³. Huahao Sealing's M106K grade is rated 220°C and FDA-compliant for food machinery, pharmaceutical equipment and drinking-water pumps requiring contamination-free self-lubrication.
| Density | 1.75 – 1.80 g/cm³ |
| Temperature | -200°C ~ 220°C |
| Compressive Strength | 200 – 280 MPa |
| Shore Hardness | 75 – 90 HS |
| Porosity (after impregnation) | < 2% |
| Friction Coefficient | 0.04 – 0.10 |
| Food Contact Compliance | FDA, EU 1935/2004 |
| Impregnant | Phenolic / Epoxy resin |
Food-grade compliance — impregnants meet FDA 21 CFR and EU 1935/2004 food contact standards, no metal ion contamination
Low porosity — post-impregnation porosity below 2%, extremely low media permeability for pressure sealing
Self-lubricating dry running — no grease required, eliminates product contamination for food and pharma applications
Cost-effective — lower cost than metal-impregnated grades, economical for high-volume OEM applications
Good machinability — moderate hardness enables precision turning to micron-level tolerances
Food machinery — chocolate mixers, food conveyor pumps, filling machine bearings
Pharmaceutical equipment — reactor agitator shaft seals, CIP cleaning pump bushings
Drinking water pumps — contamination-free seals for water supply systems
Domestic washing machines — small pump seal rings
Light industrial equipment — low-load dry-running applications
| Grade Code | Temperature | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| M106K | 220°C | Phenolic resin impregnated, food-grade |
| M120K | 200°C | Epoxy resin impregnated, corrosion-resistant |
Resin-impregnated grade (M106K) has a maximum working temperature of 220°C. Above this, the resin carbonizes and decomposes, losing its impregnation effect. For high-temperature service (>220°C), select antimony-impregnated (M106H, 500°C) or carbonized (M191T, 600°C) grades.
Yes. The M106K grade uses food-grade phenolic resin impregnant that meets FDA 21 CFR 175.300 and EU 1935/2004 food contact material standards. It runs completely oil-free with no metal ion contamination risk and has passed food safety certification.
For temperatures below 220°C with food-grade/contamination-free requirements, choose resin-impregnated (M106K). For temperatures above 220°C or where high wear resistance is needed, choose antimony-impregnated (M106H, 500°C). Antimony grades have higher hardness and temperature resistance but are not suitable for food contact.
