1.1 Typical Service Parameters
- Singeing-desizing-scouring-bleaching range: 80-100℃ alkali solution (NaOH 20-40 g/L) + hydrogen peroxide, pH 11-13
- Continuous pad dyeing machine: dye solution 60-90℃, containing dyes, urea, anti-migration agents, pH 5-8
- Steamer: 130-180℃ saturated steam, containing dye and chemical auxiliary volatiles
- Washer: 60-95℃ hot water, containing residual dyes and auxiliaries
1.2 Failure Modes

2. Material Selection
2.1 Furan Resin-Impregnated Graphite
For textile printing and dyeing service, furan resin-impregnated graphite M106K is preferred, with advantages:
- Weak acid/alkali resistance: stable in pH 5-13 dye solutions and alkali solutions, no swelling after 1000-hour immersion
- Temperature rating 200℃: meets the 180℃ steam service ceiling of steamers
- Self-lubricating: graphite's layered structure gives friction coefficient 0.1-0.15, no external grease required
- No dye solution contamination: chemically stable, no metal ion release affecting dyeing
Compared to phenolic-impregnated graphite: furan is stable long-term in alkaline solutions, while phenolic begins hydrolysis at pH > 11. Compared to epoxy-impregnated graphite: furan has higher temperature rating (200℃ vs 180℃), but epoxy is more stable in acidic dye solutions.
2.2 Mating Shaft Material
316L stainless steel shaft or ceramic-coated shaft is recommended, hardness above HV 350. Avoid ordinary carbon steel shafts (prone to rust increasing wear).
3. Structural Design
3.1 Groove Self-Lubricating Structure
Spiral grooves (pitch 6-10 mm, depth 0.5-1.0 mm) or axial grooves (width 2-3 mm, depth 0.8 mm) on the bushing inner wall use the media itself to form a lubricating film on the friction face, reducing friction coefficient to 0.05-0.1. Spiral grooves suit continuous operation; axial grooves suit frequent start-stop.
3.2 Wall Thickness and Fit
Wall thickness is 8-12% of shaft diameter; too thin lacks strength, too thick dissipates heat poorly. Fit clearance uses H8/f7; carbon graphite thermal expansion coefficient (4-6 ×10⁻⁶/℃) is lower than metal, with clearance 0.05-0.10 mm at room temperature expanding to 0.10-0.15 mm at operating temperature, avoiding shaft seizure.
3.3 End Face Seal
PTFE gasket on the bushing end face prevents dye solution from seeping along the shaft end into the bearing housing. PTFE resists chemical media and temperature up to 250℃, meeting all printing and dyeing service conditions.
