Huahao Sealing provides carbon graphite stern shaft seals, seawater cooling pump bearings and rudder bearings for marine and offshore. Special seawater-corrosion-resistant impregnation, chemically inert against chloride attack, dimensionally stable in wet/dry cycling, DNV-certified for commercial vessels, naval ships and offshore platforms.
Stern shaft seals are submerged in seawater long-term; chloride ions corrode metallic bearings with severe galvanic corrosion
Seawater cooling pumps carry silt particles; wet/dry cycling accelerates seal wear
Rudder bearings endure impact loads and vibration; metallic bearings have high seizure risk
During in-port layup, bearings run dry; unlubricated startup causes severe damage
Special seawater-corrosion-resistant impregnated carbon graphite bearings, chemically inert against chloride corrosion with zero galvanic corrosion risk
Carbon graphite self-lubrication tolerates dry running and unlubricated startup, ideal for in-port layup wet/dry cycling
Carbon graphite natural damping absorbs vibration and impact loads, reducing rudder bearing seizure risk
Paired with high-chrome stainless steel or SiC mating face, resisting abrasive wear from silt-laden seawater

No. M204K/M254K seawater-corrosion-resistant impregnated grades are chemically inert against chloride attack with zero galvanic corrosion risk. Carbon graphite is non-metallic and does not form a galvanic couple with steel shafts.
Carbon graphite self-lubrication tolerates dry running and unlubricated startup without damage. This is particularly suited for wet/dry cycling of stern shafts and seawater pumps during in-port layup.
DNV (Det Norske Veritas) certified; ABS, LR and other society certificates available on request. Adopted as standard configuration by multiple shipyards.
Paired with SiC or high-chrome stainless mating face of high hardness to resist particle erosion. Bearing clearance is optimized (single-side 0.10mm) to allow silt particles to pass without seizure.
